I love to sew just about anything. I also do lots of crafts and painting shabby chic. Sewing is something I've been since I was 11 years old. I made my first quilt top out of neon cotton material back in the 60's and now my daughter is the proud owner of the quilt. I make I Spy Quilts, I Spy Bags, Tooth Fairy Pillows, girls clothing, crayon aprons, pin cushions, just about anything. Sewing just gives me peace of mind and puts me in a comfort mode.

I'm so happy to find this file chest. I'm going to paint the drawers a few different colors. I will then distress it:) The old jewelry box my niece gave me will be painted Surfboard byAmerican Paint which is a chalk board paint. Faye and I came across a lady who sold this paint. We had never heard of it but I do love it and the colors they offer. A lot of beachcolors

Found this on Pinterest and fell in love with it. Why?? My Brother has a Plantation in S.C. and raises cotton and now I can make a wreath from Sanders cotton and that makes me happy:)Thursday, November 21, 2013
I have found some more items that I had to paint and put into my new pink and white spare bedroom. I'm loving the way it's all coming together and I love the Annie Sloan paint as it dries so quick. I can't wait until the weekend!

Thanks to Pinterest and Jars that I had, I made a little extra tada item for my entry way. I love the wooden E's! I got 4 on a card at Michaels for $1.00. I bought a white chennile bedspread from Belk's 2 weeks ago and got on ebay and found this chennile solid pink piece. I had ordered a couple years ago the 6 inch squares to make a baby quilt and yep I never made one. So now they are in good use, for me and my bed:) I'm ready to get home after school and do something just anything crafty.

I have enjoyed sewing and crafting all week. Maybe I can keep it up as I have so many more things I want to make. I have already started on some of them and will list them tomorrow or Sunday. You all have a great week-end:)Monday, November 11, 2013
Well my surgery is over and after a 2 1/1 cut area for a small mole I think it's starting to heal:) I hope they got all they needed!! It's right on my waist line and I'm sure putting on clothes for the first time tomorrow is going to be hard. Just been wearing gowns. On a bright note I found the sewing room again the first time since Dad got sick last Aug. a year ago and died in April. I couldn't get out so I made my way to the sewing room and it feels great. I will be putting up more pictures of the wreaths and things I've been working on. Saw Belks sale paper and my daughter went and picked up a bedspread I wanted and it's all white chennile. That's what got me going as I cut up a shirt that didn't fit but loved the material and made a pillow. Here it is!! Not chennile but I loved the yellow with the white which makes no sense because I'm doing that room white and pink. Oh well!!Sunday, November 3, 2013
Found these chairs at a yardsale Saturday for only $2.00 each. The dark brown has springs in the bottom. The two that's alike I will shabby up and put a beautiful material seat and back. I can't wait to start working on these after my small surgery Thurs. Hope I heal by the weekend or at least the next weekend:)

These were at a thrift store I stopped at and thought they were really neat. They were about 4 to 5 ft tall and about 3 feet across. I could see these make with bird nest and other items displayed on them.

I just got back home from the beach as I've been there since June 12th. I'll stay home for a few days and go back as school doesn't start until Aug. 12th. I enjoyed working on several projects and just wanted to share a couple. The wreath of course was for the 4th of July and at the bottom is my house number. I have a sign now on the front of the post that says beach:) I hope the pizza man can find me now as it seems he can't see the mailbox number!!

Beach plant wreath
I'm so happy with the way my wreath turned
out. I had to use fishing line and glue but finally pulled it all together.

What I've been making.
Well once again I'm at the beach for the summer. I have finished up with several projects which the first is our sign. I made the fence by myself with 21 boards and yes I had to start over a couple of times. My Dad taught me to love tools and to make whatever I had in my mind. I also took this boring brown chair to a white chair and bought a shirt which was the same colors as my bedroom and this is the way it turned out. I love it. I also have a few other projects going on that I will post later this week. I'm happy to say I'm down from 3 to 1 pill a day for my nerves. The memorial garden is helping with that. I'll post pictures later. Thanks to everyone who has hung in there with me through my Dad's sickness and death. Blogger friends are great friends to have.

Fell in love with this bird house I saw at a flea market. We are cleaning out the pack house so we can do our projects in there and not make a mess everywhere else. I'm going to make one or two of these for birthday presents:) I think everyone will love it! I sure do.
